musical

i just took a test for the best music for me in a party mix! here are my results...

Is choosing music for you like choosing a pet, minus the sentimentality? Like, you're not going to pick just any old tune, 'cause you're going to have to live with it and know its personality. If it's smart, thoughtful, won't embarrass you, takes no crap and gives none, chances are you'll let it follow you home...
We're guessing a good hook and a cute singer probably just isn't good enough for you--you're looking for music that's built to last. Lyric sheets and liner notes were invented for fans like you. If you admire sharp lyrics and a fresh, unpretentious take on rock, try mixing some good old Ani DiFranco and early Wilco with Interpol to create a playlist that stands the test of time.

Our picks?

Disc 1: Ani DiFranco, "Not a Pretty Girl"
Disc 2: Wilco, "Summer Teeth"
Disc 3: Interpol, "Turn On the Bright Lights"
